RIP Polaroid, I hardly knew Ye
Well, it's official. Polaroid is going to stop making its instant film as of the end of this year. That as they say, sucks, it's horrible, and makes me both sad & mad. Sad because it is the end of a long choppy relationship with a wonderful product. Mad because I had just gotten a "new" old Polaroid, some film, & just yesterday the grand book, "Polaroid Transfers" by Kathleen Thormod Carr. This was in preparation to beginning what I hoped would be a long series of Polaroid transfers in connection with my collages & mixed media work. HA! So I, along with everyone else am going to be grabbing up film & the prices are going to rise. And you can't keep this stuff forever in the refrigerator like regular film. So it's like, quick take lots of pictures, do lots of transfers in the next year! Brother. Okay. That is my little venting session for the day, you may go on with your happiness elsewhere! I will be okay in a while. No really, I will.
