Finally after numerous interruptions, I finished the Glimmer Mist book I started in the class I took at Scrappin' In the City. Life gets in the way sometimes, ya know. There's doctors appointments (which seem to take forever) MRI's, and always the pool now that it's warm. And a day spent trudging along the Highway 127 Yard Sale. And a little bit of other stuff happening in there too. But anywho, I got it done yesterday. On 08-08-08, a good day to finish it up I thought.
I added my own spin to it, as I do most things. I decided I had to put limits on what I could add, or I would be at it forever, with so many choices. I have a lot of stuff in my studio to choose from after all!
So I selected 3 acrylic paint colors that were on my table at the moment, & 4 Caran d'ache neocolor water soluble crayons that went with them, a 4B graphite pencil, one extra color of the Glimmer Mists (a yellow) other than the ones that came in the kit we got in class, and a set of the Glimmer Mist stencils. I cut up the sayings we got in class and used those as just words or bits of sentences.
There's a little torn paper collage, some stenciling, drawing, small tag books, painting, smearing, smattering, splattering, & just that right hint of glittery goodness that the Glimmer Mist provides. I wish the Innertubes here could show it better, but something seem to get lost a bit in the ride, ya, know? I can see adding my photos of nature I have to this.
Here is the results of my long drawn out work & fun:
