Found Memories Art

Being the further misadventures of an artist, her camera, some rotating art supplies, and a mind that wanders and roams while her feet stay pretty much in the same place (unfortunately)!
Found Memories Art is where you'll find a little something about collage, mixed media, and photos. Maybe a bit of life here in an old log cabin in the woods thrown in for fun.
Just a hint: click on the pics to see them better!

Another Create It Forward has found it's home

at Livewire Jewelry.

Sharon sent me a nice email and then followed up with a post on her blog yesterday. It showed not only the collage I made for her, but the recipe card I sent along as a note also.

5 Second Rule collage

5 Second Rule collage.

This is one of my favorites in the Color Blocks series, to date. I feel I got my colors exactly as I wanted them in the background, the clothing, the skin and the object.

And it's chocolate!

These were both vintage images from 50's magazines. You can see there was some damage on the cherry. I decided given the subject, that that worked in my favor.

The background is several layers of acrylic washes, to give it more depth.

I didn't get much done in the studio yesterday as Heather & I picked up the wedding dress & other bridal dresses: Can you say beautiful?

pinned

This is from the day Heather first tried on her dress. That's Heather on the right and left.

Mirror, you know!

The pinning is being done by the Wonderful, Marvelous, Fantastic Colleen Louis Moore of White Orchid Bridal in Knoxville, TN.

She worked with Heather every step of the way & did all the dying just beautifully.

And the way she transformed the bits and pieces of my dress onto Heather's was just what Heather and I envisioned.

The hair pieces came out perfectly.

I'll show pictures of everything...After the wedding of course!!

Okay, back to studio stuff.

I think I need to do a bit of straightening and then get back to fun stuff.

Ever onward, all you arty people, ever onward!
